CROWDFUNDING MEETS PITCH CONTEST
Boss Up is crowdfunding meets pitch competition. Unlike traditional pitch competitions, we use admission fees to create the Black Venture Fund. The participants pitch, the audience asks the participants questions and the audience decides who wins. It's a community experience where everyone invests their time and money into women of color entrepreneurs. There is no other venture competition like it!

The winner receives the Black Venture Fund, a meeting with an investor, 12 t-shirts for her business, a consultation with an accountant, a consultation with a lawyer and business coaching. Applications typically open 4-6 weeks before the competition. In order to apply, your venture must be 51% owned by a woman of color, be revenue generating and located within a 50 mile radius of the competition location.
