There's a lot to love about fall: hot apple cider, cozy sweaters, and pumpkin spice – the smells and flavors we associate with the time of year. And, of course, Halloween! Fall decor is here in full force, from spooky Halloween decorations to fall-themed knick-knacks. The many different products available are a reflection of the seasons changing and can provide a subtle reminder to shoppers that it's time to start thinking about what gifts you might want to give family (or maybe yourself) and friends during the holidays.

As you approach the end of the year, which can be a hectic time with the holidays—it can become quite stressful. Take some time to reflect, work less if you can and find ways to take care of yourself. To help you do that, we found 10 Black women-owned businesses to spice up your fall season.

1. Mecca Candle by Tomeka Hayes

We're in the midst of fall when the leaves are changing. The cooler weather is rolling in. Fall isn't complete without the smell of pumpkin spice wafting through the air. It's also a time for comfort and warmth, so why not add some coziness to your home by lighting fall season candles? Mecca Candle, founded by Tomeka Hayes, is a Los Angeles-based soy-wax candle company. They've carefully curated a scent profile with full-bodied fragrances using the best essential oil blends of woodsy, floral, and fruity notes. The scents are aged carefully and hand-poured, infusing the all-natural scents into an easily-repurposed vessel with cotton wicks.

2. Glam Goth Beauty by Marley

If you are a year-round goth and need something extra special to wear this fall for Halloween. You're looking for something that will make you stand apart from the rest of those generic witches, vampires, and ghosts. Not only do your clothes need to be quirky and different, but so do your beauty products! Marley, the founder of Glam Goth Beauty, has clothing accessories and beauty products that are cruelty-free.

3. Peak and Valley by Nadine Joseph

Fill your cup with goodness this holiday season, take a cue from our herbal sisters in the forest, and sip on warm roots that simmer—especially after a busy day. These herbal supplements by Peak and Valley have a variety of blends. The company carries three different blends made with healing adaptogen herbs like maca, ashwagandha, and cocoa that support overall skin, mind, and body health. Wellness entrepreneur Nadine Joseph co-founded Peak and Valley to help folks stress less.

4. Haus of Hoodoo by Manbo Jessyka

If you're looking for various natural spell supplies or just an update to your everyday tarot deck, Haus of Hoodoo by Manbo Jessyka can help. This shop offers various candles, crystal balls, incense, oils, and more. Whether you are a beginner or an intermediate practitioner, these items are sure to aid you in your magical pursuits.

5. Nikki Mitchell, Founder of Willow & Oak Skincare

The holidays make you feel alive with the crisp, fresh air of winter and the crunching of leaves under your feet. Body Butters are a go-to when it's cold or dry outside, and applying lotion doesn't always cut it. Willow & Oak Skincare, founded by Nikki Michell, is a small artisan line of botanical skincare products to strengthen people's connections to healing plants. Plants connect the world to the planet and continue to remind you to be mindful of your intentions and to take whatever necessary time is needed for yourself. Enjoy these lovely earth-inspired products that honor your environment's natural elements and sacred fragrances. Her skincare is known to feel calming, nurturing, and healing.

7. Mint Coven by Mint Siegel

Mint Coven: where magic meets magick. Mint Coven is where all things magick meet woven. The owner Mint Siegel is a lover of magic and the spinner of yarn and yarns. You'll find handmade earthy woven goodness, candles, and tarot card readings. Peruse the shop on Etsy, and be sure to walk away with something magical this fall season.

8. The London Grant Collection by London Grant

If you've ever touched your skin during winter and thought it needed something more, then take a look at The London Grant Collection by London Grant to help with exfoliating the body. These body scrubs are an easy way to feel like you're getting your skin treated whenever you hop in the shower. She also has fall-inspired scents. They believe in mindfully sourcing pure, plant-based, and organic ingredients. They're committed to leaving out all of the nasty nothings that you don't need and being transparent about what you're putting on your body. You can check out their ingredients list here.

9. Hood Witch by Bri Luna

If you're looking for a new way to bring some magic into your life, you need to add this brand to your growing repertoire. Bri Luna, the founder of Hood Witch, is all about "witchy self-care." You'll find crystals and tarot readings, but most importantly, you'll find a community of like-minded magical people.

10. LaRayia Gaston, Founder of Larayias Bodega and Lunch on Me Initiative

In the realm of skincare, few ingredients have attracted as much buzz as turmeric. There's just enough substantiation to take its potential benefits seriously but not enough to merit the emphasis that some put on it. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties and can help soothe sensitive skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis, which is very much needed during these cold fall conditions. Larayias Bodega makes turmeric soap. The bodega is a grocery store founded by LaRayia Gaston. And when you purchase from them, you are helping to support the market's Lunch on Me Initiative, which provides free organic meals to the underserved, veteran, and homeless communities in L.A., Hawaii, and N.Y.

Whether as gifts for others or yourself, you're sure to find inspiring and comforting products from these ten companies. By shopping with them this season, you'll be supporting more Black women-owned businesses.
