Introducing BGV Talks, a new series created by Black Girl Ventures. The Business of Becoming is a series that aims to highlight leaders and executives from a wide range of industries in order to encourage and inspire the Black Girl Ventures community of 1M+ entrepreneurs to reach their highest potential.
Episode 3 in Season 1 of BGV Talks: The Business of Becoming is nothing less than a charm featuring the actress, producer and all-around entrepreneur Erika Alexander.
You may know her character in hit series like Living Single (Maxine Shaw) and The Cosby Show (Cousin Pam), but this conversation is far from scripted. Alexander and Shelly Bell, Founder of Black Girl Ventures, discuss everything from the transformation in Hollywood to politics to personal projects, like Alexander’s company Color Farm Media which recently produced the documentary film John Lewis: Good Trouble. For all of you self-starters and problem-solvers, this talk is for you!
“Creative work is real work,” Alexander asserted and there’s no doubt that we will be saved by our ideas. The conversation is raw and inspirational, so if you identify as or are on the journey to becoming the ultimate entrepreneur, be sure to tune in and check out previous episodes in the BGV Talks series.
