As the nation faces the coronavirus pandemic, Black communities are particularly vulnerable. On March 20, the Congressional Black Caucus submitted an extensive 11-page proposal to the Senate and House leadership with recommendations to support the recovery of Black America.
“When America catches a cold, Black America catches pneumonia,” the CBC said in a recent statement after the bipartisan Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security, or CARES Act, passed the Senate.
