Larissa Maloney - 1st Place Winner
Larissa Maloney is the Founder of Active Kids 2.0, an on-demand service that provides a variety of active classes for children and their families. What started as a mission to help her students feel good as the head volleyball coach and P.E. a teacher at Father Lopez Catholic High School during the pandemic, through streaming live free YouTube fitness classes.
It morphed into an on-demand subscription service for children and their families to work out safely in their own homes. As a former professional beach volleyball player, Larissa brings her enthusiasm and passion for fitness to inspire families worldwide to get off the couch and get moving. Now, Active Kids 2.0 has added eight women athletes to their team, each having specific specialties. Children and their families can participate in yoga, dance, karate, cheer, boxing, and even jazz. Soon on the horizon will be Nutrition and sport-specific classes.
Candy Calderon - 2nd Place Winner
Candy Calderon is the Founder of Glow Wellness Tour, a Health & wellness community, educational platform, and event series focused on decolonizing wellness and making healing more accessible and affordable for BIPOC women. They do this through their health & wellness workshops, signature wellness events (virtual & in-person), private memberships, and digital activations.
Candy created this platform as a result of helping her mother heal through a diagnosis of breast cancer. Through her research, she realized the impact of the health disparities in disadvantaged communities. Glow Wellness Tour decolonizes the health and wellness space and makes it more accessible to communities who need it the most. Her events garner over 1k attendees.
Natacha Metayer - 3rd Place Winner
Natacha Metayer is the Founder of JNCY Jewelers, a luxury jewelry brand made for modern women, inspired, and created by, Natacha Metayer. JNCY was established in the summer of 2019 to fill the void in the minority bridal category and to educate the Black and Brown community on diamonds, colored gemstones, and metals. Natacha is currently a Certified Jewelry Professional and is actively pursuing her certification to be a Graduate Gemologist.
She provides personalized attention and experience to her clients. When you purchase a customized engagement diamond ring, you receive a complimentary bottle of champagne, cleaning products, an appraisal, and a handmade note from Natacha. They also source their own Rolexes, tennis bracelets, and various luxury jewelry. British Luxury magazine Tatler featured Natacha and her brand in 2019.
